Private Addiction Recovery & Compulsive Behaviour Therapy For Women

Break Free From Compulsive Cycles That Are Controlling Your Life

Whether it’s a relationship you can’t walk away from, alcohol, emotional eating, shopping, work, or another compulsive behaviour, you don’t need more willpower.

You need an approach that changes the patterns underneath.

Private recovery support designed for women who are ready to stop surviving the same cycles and start building a calmer, healthier life.

Private • Confidential • No Residential Rehab Required

Does This Feel Like Your Life Right Now?

  • You keep promising yourself, “This time will be different.”
  • You know exactly what you should do—but somehow you still can’t seem to do it.
  • You keep finding yourself doing things you later regret.
  • You tell yourself you’ll only have one drink… but it rarely stops there.
  • You can’t stop thinking about someone, checking your phone, or replaying every conversation.
  • You say “yes” to everyone else, even when you’re completely exhausted.
  • You bury yourself in work because slowing down feels unbearable.
  • You spend money, eat, drink, scroll or throw yourself into something else just to escape how you’re feeling.
  • You feel embarrassed by your own behaviour and wonder why you can’t just get a grip.
  • From the outside, you look capable, successful and like you’ve got it all together.
  • Inside, you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted and completely out of control.

Or Perhaps

  • You keep asking yourself, “Why am I like this?”
  • You don’t recognise the person you’ve become when you’re caught in these cycles.
  • You know you’re capable of so much more—but right now, you feel trapped.

If reading this felt uncomfortably familiar, you’re not alone. The women I work with are often intelligent, caring and incredibly capable—but privately exhausted from fighting the same cycles over and over again. Lasting recovery is possible, and it starts with taking the first step.

You Don't Have To Put Your Life On Hold To Recover.

Many of the women I work with have already tried to find a way out.

They’ve spent years in therapy, completed CBT or EMDR, read the books, listened to the podcasts—or looked at residential rehab.

Some have already been.

They’ve invested thousands of pounds, hoping this time everything would finally be different.

For some women, residential treatment is absolutely the right choice.

But for many, it’s simply not possible.

They have children who rely on them.

A career they can’t step away from.

A business to run.

A life that doesn’t stop because they’re struggling.

That’s why I created Real Life Recovery.

A private recovery programme for women who want lasting change without putting their lives on hold.

For some women, a medically supervised detox—either at home or in a residential setting—is the safest and most appropriate first step. If that’s the case, I’ll help you access the right medical support before we begin working together.

However, if you’re medically safe to begin recovery without a detox, there is another way.

The goal isn’t simply to stop the behaviour. It’s to build a life where you no longer need it.

The Cycles I Help Women Break

Compulsive Behaviours

Relationships

Emotional Patterns

It Was Never Just About The Behaviour

It might look like a relationship problem.

Or alcohol.

Or shopping.

Or food.

Or work.

But underneath, it’s often the same pattern.

Looking outside yourself to feel safe.

Escaping difficult emotions.

Losing yourself in someone else.

Constantly trying to fill something that never quite stays filled.

That’s why simply removing one behaviour rarely creates lasting recovery.

We change the pattern underneath.

If you’re wondering why I take this approach to recovery, you can read more about my story and philosophy here.

Imagine If Things Felt Quieter

Imagine making decisions without spending hours thinking about them.

Imagine no longer planning your day around when you can have a drink.

Imagine not checking your phone every five minutes.

Imagine trusting yourself.

Imagine being fully present with your children.

Imagine dating without losing yourself.

Imagine feeling calm inside your own mind.

Imagine not needing something—or someone—to escape into.

Become An AWE Woman

Recovery isn’t simply about stopping drinking.

Or ending unhealthy relationships.

Or controlling emotional eating.

It’s about becoming the kind of woman who no longer needs those things to feel safe.

That’s what AWE – Autonomous Women Empowered represents.

Not perfection.

Not having it all together.

But becoming a woman who:

• Trusts herself.

• Regulates her emotions instead of escaping them.

• Creates healthy boundaries.

• Stops abandoning herself to keep everyone else happy.

• Feels calm inside her own mind.

This isn’t just recovery.

It’s becoming who you were always capable of being.

Private Recovery Support That Works in Real Life

Real Life Recovery is a private, personalised recovery programme for women who know something needs to change but can’t—or don’t want to—step away from their career, family or responsibilities.

Rather than relying on willpower or simply understanding why you struggle, we work with the patterns driving your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Together, we build the emotional resilience, practical recovery skills and healthier ways of thinking that create lasting change.

Your programme is tailored to your individual needs and may include one-to-one sessions, practical exercises between sessions, emotional regulation work, relapse prevention strategies and confidential support.

This is structured therapeutic recovery support for women who are medically safe to recover outside a residential setting. It is not detox or emergency medical treatment.
