I am incredibly grateful for the work I had the opportunity to do with Katie via her eight-week Mindfulness programme, and everything that's happened in my life as a direct result. I've had mental health issues my entire life and traditional therapy never worked for me - I am cursed with a deep, intimate understanding of how my mind works and what influence my various traumas have had on that, so drudging through the past only made me feel worse - and having gone through a very dark patch in June of this year I wanted something more results-focussed that would let me work through my physical reactions to my issues as they happened and help me plan for the future. A read-through of the information on Katie's website and our initial free discussion convinced me to give it a try. Mindfulness has been life-changing for me, both in terms of how I view the world and how I conduct myself within it, and Katie has proven to be wonderful to work with. Non-judgemental, a fantastic listener, able to adapt and change the structure of the work based on my situation and feedback, and with a fantastic sense of humour. She comes with my highest recommendation!
I recently completed an 8-week mindfulness course with Katie and have benefited greatly from the skills learned during the course. I have always struggled with an over thinking busy mind and never really considered that I was truly living in the moment and I often felt I was more an observer rather than a participant in my own life. Katies course is not a traditional therapist experience and more a structured journey towards a more peaceful and meaningful life. Katie has a very relaxed and engaging manner with a good sense of humour and I always felt that she listened and was interested in my own personal experience and views. I am naturally inquisitive and often suspicious of new ideas and concepts and Katie was always open to discussing any concerns I had. I always felt my opinions and experiences were valued. I am not naturally trusting but always felt I could trust Katie and on no occasion did I feel judged. Her responses to my concerns and issues were always considered and reassuring and often drawn from the clear depth and wealth of her own personal experience that has made her the unique person she is. Although the course I subscribed to was structured, I felt that it was individually tailored week by week to cater for my own personal circumstances. It is important to stress that to truly get the benefit of the course then you need to do the work and fully engage but that should go without saying. I know I am a work in progress but Katie has provided me with strong foundations and equipped me with the tools to build a better future. I would have no hesitation in recommending Katie to anyone seeking therapy or personal development.
I really do mean this when I say Katie really saved me from becoming a person I never wanted to become. I had some personal issues which threw me in to a downward spiral to sadness. When I attended the consultation, Katie knew exactly what I needed, which was a course called A Calmer & Happier Life, which is a mindfulness course. Right from the first session I knew that this was going to help me but I had no idea that at the end of the 8 weeks I would feel more at peace than I ever had before! Through the first few weeks I felt like I NEEDED our weekly session to get me through life, like I needed Katie’s guidance more than ever. The practices become a lot more easier to do at home and I made sure to make time to fit these and the other tasks in to my busy life. Thanks to Katie’s guidance, halfway through the course I felt as though I COULD do this… i could be happy again and my life felt a bit more bright. I was given vital tools and knowledge to help me through the rest of the course which I will take with me for the rest of my life. And on our last session together, we went through my goals that we made at the very start of the course… every single goal was absolutely smashed. I completely forgot we made these goals and I actually very emotional and proud we looked back at them. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have been able to work with Katie, to work on my own happiness so me and my baby can have the best life we possibly can. I would 100% recommend Katie for any kind of issue. Her mindfulness course really has changed my life for the better. Working with Katie has been life changing. She has given me the skills to be able to approach the things that were previously causing me anxiety and panic on a regular basis with calmness and whilst feeling grounded.
